As the PRESTO rollout continues across the TTC and planning evolves for the elimination of tickets, tokens and Metropasses, we wanted to share some insights on what you can expect for 2017.

Buying tickets, tokens and Metropasses

Tickets, tokens and Metropasses, including MDP and VIP passes for existing customers/organizations, will still be available for sale in 2017.

Using tokens and Metropasses at subway stations

  • Tokens will still be accepted at all collector booths and at some automatic entrances.
  • The collector booths at the following automatic entrances will accept tokens, tickets and cash until January 9. After this date access will be by PRESTO card or TTC pass only.
    • Bay Cumberland
    • St. Clair Centre

TTC pass products (monthly, weekly)

  • These products will be available for purchase on a PRESTO card.
  • Details on timing are still being confirmed and we will let you know when they will be available.

Daily cap

  • This will be introduced
  • Details on timing are still being confirmed and we will let you know when it is available.

Cost of a Metropass product on PRESTO

  • A Metropass will cost the same on a PRESTO card as it does today. You will still be able to use it for unlimited travel like you do today.

Photo ID PRESTO cards (Child – 10-12, Youth, Post-secondary)

  • Photo ID PRESTO cards will be introduced.
  • Details on timing are still being confirmed and we will let you know when they will be available.

Cash

  • Cash fares will still be accepted across the system.
