As part of the TTC’s continuing modernization efforts the turnstiles at the main entrance and the high gates at the automatic entrances to Sheppard-Yonge Station will be replaced with new paddle-style fare gates.

Construction at the main entrance is scheduled to start on Dec. 9.

  • The construction will be done in two phases. Customers will enter the station through the collector booth aisle or through a temporary station collector entrance
  • A PRESTO card reader will be available for PRESTO card customers during both phases of construction.

Construction at the Hullmark entrance is scheduled to start on Dec 9.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. until early next February.
  • The collector booth at this entrance will also be closed during construction.
  • When construction ends customers will only be able to access this entrance with a TTC Pass or PRESTO card. 

Construction at the Poyntz automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Jan. 30.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. Jan. 30 until the middle of next March.
  • When construction ends customers will only be able to access this entrance by PRESTO card.

Construction at the Sheppard West automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Dec. 11.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. Dec. 11 until 6 a.m. Dec. 14.
  • When the entrance re-opens on Dec. 14 customers will enter the station through a temporary station collector.
  • When construction ends, in early next February, customers will only be able to access this entrance by PRESTO card.

Construction at the Harlandale automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Dec. 14.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. until early next Feburary.
  • When construction ends customers will only be able to access this entrance with a PRESTO card.
