As a front-line employee, operators play a key role in our mission of building a transit system that makes Toronto proud. Overall, successful candidates possess sound judgment, exercise safe driving behaviour and have a commitment to customer service excellence.

Key qualifications

  • Prior frontline, face-to-face customer service experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public
  • Experience with, or ability to learn about disability accommodation and accessibility requirements
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule that includes various shifts (nights, split shifts, weekends and holidays)
  • Must possess a non-probationary Ontario Driver’s Licence, Class “G” in good standing with the ability to meet the TTC’s corporate standard for a good driving record. Review Driver Abstract Requirements
  • Must possess a Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma or its recognized equivalent. Review our Educational Requirements. 
  • Large commercial vehicle driving experience is considered an asset
  • Professional experience working with persons with disabilities
