TTC hosts 2017 Underground Freedom Train Ride

This Monday night, July 31, the TTC will host more than 1,000 people for the fifth annual midnight Underground Freedom Train Ride commemorating Emancipation Day on Aug. 1.
- TTC signal work closes part of Line 1 this weekend
July 26, 2017 - This weekend, July 29-30, TTC crews will continue installation and testing of the new Automatic Train Control (ATC) signal system, requiring Line 1 Yonge-University to close between St George and Sheppard West (formerly Downsview) stations.
- TTC benefits fraud update: 10 face criminal charges; 150 fired
July 20, 2017 - Ten people face criminal charges as part of an ongoing police investigation into an alleged TTC benefits fraud scheme.
- Portion of Line 2 closed this weekend for TTC and City work
July 20, 2017 - This weekend, July 22-23, the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Broadview and St George stations will close for City of Toronto and TTC work on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct.
- Changes coming to TTC's 512 St Clair service
July 13, 2017 - With the introduction of new accessible and air-conditioned low-floor streetcars to its 512 St Clair route on Sept. 3, the TTC will eliminate two-hour time-based transfers on the route, as operators on the new streetcars cannot issue paper transfers to customers.

July 13, 2017 - This weekend, July 15-16, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth will close between Jane and Ossington stations so TTC crews can replace rail and rail ties; services increases for Honda Indy Toronto.

July 6, 2017 - This weekend, July 8-9, the portion of Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and Lawrence stations will close as TTC crews perform essential corrective track work and rail grinding.
