Portion of TTC Line 2 to close early next Tuesday - Thursday
November 22, 2019
The portion of Line 2 between Kipling and Islington stations will close at 11 p.m. next Tues., Nov. 26 through Thurs., Nov. 28 for important track work.
Replacement shuttle buses will run between the two stations and TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. Both stations will remain open for access to surface routes and fare sales.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the closures. As Islington Station is not yet accessible, customers requiring an accessible connection should use Jane Station instead. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
