PRESTO cards can be used to pay one of the double fares required on this bus. The additional fare must be paid by token, ticket or cash.

All TTC buses (except Community and Wheel-Trans buses) have bike racks so that you can bring your bike with you on your journey. Depending on the bus type, bike racks can hold one or two bikes. The racks are easy to load and unload, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

All accessories must be removed from the bike prior to loading as they may impede operators' sight lines. Please remove water bottles, air pumps, panniers, child carriers, solid baskets, bags and other loose items before boarding. The Operator has the right to refuse use of the bike rack to keep clear sightlines.

The 144 Downtown / Don Valley Express bus route operates between the area of York Mills Road and Parkwoods Village Drive, the area of Wynford Drive and Concorde Place, and the Downtown Toronto area, generally in a north-south direction. It also passes within one block of the Queen, Osgoode, St. Andrew and King Stations on Line 1 Yonge-University.  Accessible service is provided on the route. Queen, Osgoode and St Andrew stations are accessible subway stations. Bike racks are available on this route.

This is a premium express route that operates Monday to Friday during peak periods only and requires an additional adult, senior or student fare.

Two services are operated in the morning peak period:

Southbound 144A DOWNTOWN EXPRESS / EXTRA FARE REQUIRED

During the morning peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Victoria Park Avenue and Parkwoods Village Drive via northwest on Parkwoods Village Drive, west on York Mills Road, south on Valley Woods Road, east on Brookbanks Drive, south on Underhill Drive, west on Lawrence Avenue East, south on Don Valley Parkway, west on Richmond Street, south on Peter Street, and east on Adelaide Street to Parliament Street.

Southbound 144A buses operate LOCAL from Victoria Park Avenue and Parkwoods Village Drive to Underhill Drive and Lawrence Avenue East; 144A buses then operate EXPRESS from Underhill Drive and Lawrence Avenue East to Richmond Street and Parliament Street; 144A buses then operate LOCAL through downtown, from Richmond Street and Parliament Street to Adelaide Street and Parliament Street.

Southbound 144B DOWNTOWN EXPRESS / EXTRA FARE REQUIRED

During the morning peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from the cul-de-sac at the north end of Concorde Place via south on Concorde Place, south on Wynford Drive, then east, north and west (counter-clockwise) on Wynford Heights Crescent, continuing south on Wynford Drive, west on St. Dennis Drive, south on Don Mills Road, south on Don Valley Parkway, west on Richmond Street, south on Peter Street, and east on Adelaide Street to Parliament Street.

Southbound 144B buses operate LOCAL from the Concorde Place cul-de-sac to Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard; 144B buses then operate EXPRESS from Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard to Richmond Street and Parliament Street; 144B buses then operate LOCAL through downtown, from Richmond Street and Parliament Street to Adelaide Street and Parliament Street.

144B buses return northbound from Adelaide Street and Parliament Street via east on Adelaide Street, north on Don Valley Parkway to Don Mills Road, north on Don Mills Road, east on St. Dennis Drive, north on Wynford Drive, and north on Concorde Place to the cul-de-sac at the north end of Concorde Place. 144B buses operate EXPRESS between Adelaide Street/Parliament Street and Don Mills Road/Gateway Boulevard.

Afternoon Peak Period Service

Northbound 144 DON VALLEY EXPRESS TO WYNFORD AND YORK MILLS / EXTRA FARE REQUIRED

During the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Richmond Street and Parliament Street via west on Richmond Street, south on Peter Street, east on Adelaide Street, north on Don Valley Parkway, north on Don Mills Road, east on St. Dennis Drive, north on Wynford Drive, north on Concorde Place, west on Concorde Gate, continuing north on Don Valley Parkway, east on Lawrence Avenue East, north on Underhill Drive, west on Brookbanks Drive, north on Valley Woods Road, east on York Mills Road, and south on Victoria Park Avenue to Parkwoods Village Drive.

Northbound 144 buses operate LOCAL through downtown, from Richmond Street and Parliament Street to Adelaide Street and Parliament Street; 144 buses then operate EXPRESS from Adelaide Street and Parliament Street to Don Mills Road and Gateway Boulevard; 144 buses then operate LOCAL from Don Mills Road and Gateway Boulevard to Concorde Place and Concorde Gate; 144 buses then operate EXPRESS from Concorde Place and Concorde Gate to Lawrence Avenue East and Underhill Drive; 144 buses then operate LOCAL from Lawrence Avenue East and Underhill Drive to Victoria Park Avenue and Parkwoods Village Drive.

Southbound 144 DOWNTOWN EXPRESS / EXTRA FARE REQUIRED

During the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Victoria Park Avenue and Parkwoods Village Drive via northwest on Parkwoods Village Drive, west on York Mills Road, south on Don Valley Parkway, and west on Richmond Street to Sherbourne Street.

Southbound 144 buses operate EXPRESS from York Mills Road and Don Valley Parkway to Richmond Street and Sherbourne Street.

The 144 DOWNTOWN EXPRESS buses serve local bus stops\west of Parliament Street in the downtown area, between Concorde Place and Overlea Boulevard/Gateway Boulevard in the Wynford area, and north of Lawrence Avenue and Underhill Drive in the Underhill and Parkwoods areas.
