Broadview Avenue intersection streetcar track renewal
Broadview/Gerrard intersection re-opened on August 12
Work description and purpose
Work to replace the streetcar tracks at Broadview/Dundas was completed on July 9 and traffic resumed on Dundas Street. Track repairs on Broadview Avenue north of Dundas Street towards Gerrard Street began shortly after and was completed on July 23. Work at the intersection of Broadview/Gerrard started on July 24 and was completed on August 12.
After August 12, the TTC will continue work in the area to carry out electrical work and restore power the overhead wires along Broadview Avenue and run test trains through the intersection. Work will take place during day time hours and will occupy traffic lanes as needed however traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times.
TTC service changes - August 12 to September 2
504 King, 505 Dundas and 506 Carlton buses will resume routing through the intersection as soon as possible.
Streetcar service on 504 King and 506 Carlton resumes September.
