What we are doing and why

Starting on Monday, July 6, TTC crews will begin work to extend the streetcar platform of the inside track on the south side of the Dundas West Station. The modification to the west end of the platform will allow for two low-floor streetcars to occupy the platform together without blocking the sidewalk on Dundas Street West.

During the first week of work, 504/304 King streetcars will off-load and load on the most southern track to accommodate concrete removals in preparation for the platform extension and a new walkway between the two existing streetcar track platforms. The existing platform edge warning tact-tiles will also be replaced.

All other work associated with this modification will be conducted during the following weeks with 504/304 King streetcars resuming normal track platform operations.
