Eglinton Station - roof repair
June 3 to December 2019
Work Description & Purpose
TTC will be undertaking repairs to the Old Eglinton Garage. The work will include removal of a section of steel roof as well as skylights in designated areas which are failing and are due for replacement.
In order to complete this work, crews will use a mobile crane which will be erected to assist with construction. It will be used to install a new roofing assembly and new roof deck. A waterproof rubber member will be applied and bonded using a heating torch. During this application, area residents may experience an asphalt-like odour depending on wind direction on those particular days.
All work is scheduled to be completed during regular hours as per City of Toronto bylaws, however some evening work may be required.
Traffic and station operations
Construction traffic will be routed onto main arterials using Duplex Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. The station will remain open to transit operations.
