Keele Station - station improvements including roof and drainage
June to December 2017
The TTC is in the process of rehabilitating the roof at Keele Station to maintain it in a state of good repair. Removing and replacing the roof will ensure the bus transfer structure remains serviceable for decades to come. In order to keep the station open for our customers, construction work will be phased in several stages.
Drainage systems at the platform and street level will also be upgraded. Protective hoarding will be in place throughout the station as required.
Customers will board buses at different bays at the station starting August 10, 2017. Signage will be posted. During each phase of construction, one bus bay will be closed to safely complete the roofing work. Once completed, the next bus bay will be closed so that work can continue sequentially.
The majority of work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Some work is required to occur during the nighttime hours when there is no bus service.
Noise and vibration associated with construction is expected. Efforts will be made to keep both to a minimum.
