King Station - Enbridge gas main installation as part of Easier Access project
June 15 to July 15, 2020
What we are doing and why
Enbridge will be on site beginning Monday, June 15, 2020 at Yonge Street and Wellington Street replacing existing gas main infrastructure as part of the TTC’s King Station Easier Access Project. This work is mandatory due to the location of existing Enbridge gas facilities.
- Work at these locations is expected to begin June 15, 2020 and be completed by July 15, 2020.
- Some work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
- Work will take place between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Traffic, pedestrian and transit restrictions
During the relocation project, NPL, the Constructor, will make a concerted effort to maintain access to pedestrian walkways, business entries/exits and delivery laneways, however, access may be temporarily interrupted for minimal periods of time. Work will be performed along Wellington Street from approximately 100 meters west of Yonge St and extend to Scott Street. Please expect traffic delays and daytime lane restrictions as the project proceeds.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation and patience as we work to make King Station accessible. The TTC’s Easier Access Program is on track to making subway stations accessible by 2025 in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians Disability Act.
As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
