King and Sumach streetcar intersection
November 16, 2016 community meeting presentation
TTC held a community meeting on the evening of Wednesday, November 16, 2016 to discuss noise concerns related to streetcars operating across the King and Sumach intersection.
The purpose was to discuss: the noise issue, TTC actions taken to-date to address the issue, testing undertaken and next steps to reduce noise from streetcars at the King and Sumach intersection. Please see meeting material below:

- The new 514 Cherry streetcar service was launched on June 19, 2016. It connects Cherry Street and the West Don Lands area in the east, to Dufferin Street and the Liberty Village area in the west.
- 514 Cherry streetcars run between the Distillery Loop and Dufferin Gate Loop via Cherry Street/Sumach Street, King Street and Dufferin Street. The 514 route supports streetcar service and reduces crowding for the 65,000 daily riders on King Street.
