Greenwood Yard - crane life on Oakvale Avenue
Wednesday, November 7, 2018
Work description and purpose
On Wednesday, November 7 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., TTC will be removing an existing HVAC unit from the roof of its building at the north-east area of the yard and hoisting a new HVAC unit into place. This activity will require the use of a mobile crane truck parked on the south curb lane of Oakvale Avenue, just west of Greenwood Avenue. Pedestrians will be required to use the north sidewalk.
On-street parking on Oakvale Avenue
The crane requires up to four parking spaces for its operation. TTC appreciates your cooperation and requests that if you have parked your vehicle on Oakvale Avenue immediately west of Greenwood Avenue that you kindly move it before 10 a.m. on November 7.
If a vehicle is occupying this area around 10 a.m., arrangements will be made for a friendly tow. The friendly tow will relocate vehicles a few metres (as best as possible) from its original location at no cost to the owner.
When a vehicle is relocated, the license plate and address where it is relocated are entered on the police computer system. In the event that your vehicle has been relocated as part of this work and you cannot locate it, please call 416-808-6600 (Toronto Parking Enforcement) and provide the license plate. The operator can advise where the vehicle can be found.
Every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly as possible. Caution will be taken when lifting over the trees.
