Ossington Station - Easier Access project update
Elevators are now in service
Ossington Station is the newest TTC subway station to become accessible. Elevators now operate from the street/bus level to subway platforms. New features also include an accessible fare gate and sliding doors, signage, security cameras and intercoms.
New PRESTO-enabled fare gates at both entrances at Ossington Station were also installed.
As a part of this station upgrade work, a public art concept was selected by a local jury and was installed at Ossington Station by the artist. TTC thanks the artist, Scott Eunson, for his art installation entitled, “Ossington Particles”.
“Ossington Particles will act as an informal way-finding system, responding to the need for visual cues to navigate the station, hinting at paths and giving the spaces a sense of flow and visual interest.” - Scott Eunson, Artist
Transit Service Changes
Wheel-Trans trips may be booked into Ossington Station now that the station has a bus bay dedicated to Wheel-Trans buses.
