New PRESTO fare gates are being installed at stations across the TTC from now until mid-2017. See below for active PRESTO construction projects at TTC subway stations - organized alphabetically.

Details about new fare gates

  • Turnstiles will be removed and replaced with new, PRESTO-enabled fare gates.
  • The new gates will provide easier access and offer greater flexibility for flow of traffic into and out of stations.
  • Customers may also use cash, tickets, tokens and Metropasses, however, anyone paying by cash, tickets or tokens, must enter through the collector booth aisle at the main entrance.
  • Station ambassadors will be available to help direct customers into stations throughout construction.

Downsview Station - automatic entrance

Work at this automatic entrance will be completed by late March 2017.Start date: February 1, 2017

Expected completion: late March 2017

During this time, customers will be able to access this entrance through a temporary collector aisle beside the construction hoarding.


Kennedy Station - second exit

Work at this location will be completed by late March 2017. When work is completed, this second exit will become an entrance as well as an exit.

Start date: February 3, 2017

Expected completion: Late March 2017

During this time, customers will be able to use the main entrance to access the station.


Lawrence West Station - automatic entrance

Work at this automatic entrance will be completed by early March 2017.

Start date: January 13, 2017

Expected completion: Early March 2017

During this time, customers will be able to use the main entrance to access the station. The north side entrance and the tunnel/underpass will remain open for customers to use to access the main entrance.


Leslie Station - automatic entrance

Work at this automatic entrance will be completed by late March 2017.

Start date: January 24, 2017

Expected completion: Late March 2017

During this time, customers will be able to access this entrance through a temporary collector aisle beside the construction hoarding.


North York Centre Station

Work at this automatic entrance will be phased and completed by early March 2017.

Phase three - elevator #2

Start date: January 23, 2017

Expected completion: Early March 2017

The elevator will be closed from 10 p.m. on January 23 until early March 2017.

Customers will be able to access the southbound platform by boarding a northbound train to Finch Station and board a southbound train at that station to head to their destination.

Customers looking to access the Fares Concourse level from the southbound platform will need to board a southbound train to Sheppard-Yonge Station. At Sheppard-Yonge Station, cross the other side of the centre platform and board a northbound train to North York Centre Station and use the elevator from the northbound platform to get up to the Fares Concourse.


St Clair West Station - automatic entrance

Work at this automatic entrance will be completed by early March 2017.

Start date: January 9, 2017

Expected completion: Early March 2017

During this time, customers will be able to use the main entrance to access the station.


Victoria Park Station - Albion Avenue entrance

Work at this entrance will be completed by late March 2017.

Start date: January 30, 2017

Expected completion: Late March 2017

Customers will be able to use this entrance and the walkway/stairs to access the station.


Wilson Station - automatic entrance

Work at this automatic entrance will be complepted by late February 2017.

Start date: January 6, 2017

Expected completion: late February 2017

During this time, customers will be able to use the main entrance on Wilson Avenue to access the station.
