Royal York Station Easier Access - escalators out of service
May 15, 2018 to September 4, 2018
Construction to make Royal York Station fully accessible is well underway with the elevators scheduled to be in service by late 2019.
Escalators from the eastbound and westbound platforms to the concourse level will be out of service during the above-noted period. This is required in order to allow the contractor to safely cut through the concrete wall for the new elevator openings.
Customers will still have access to an escalator at the Greenview Blvd entrance for travel between platform and concourse levels.
The area will be enclosed with construction hoarding and work is scheduled to take place through the daytime regular working hours.
Efforts will be made to have the work completed as quickly as possible.
There will be no impact to service. The station will remain open as per regular operating hours.
