Spadina Road and Lowther Avenue - geotechnical field testing

TTC’s Easier Access Program will make subway stations accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of mobility. The TTC is making progress towards its goal of making Spadina Station on Line 1 accessible.
Work description and purpose
Starting on October 29, crews will be conducting soil condition assessments at the north-west corner of Spadina Road and Lowther Avenue for approximately one month.
The work involves drilling test holes into the ground to obtain soil samples and data. Information from the assessment is required for the design work of the future elevator project.
- Testing/drilling will take place at the north-west corner of Spadina Road and Lowther Avenue.
- Building access to 50 Spadina Road will be maintained.
- Sidewalk and roads will be maintained as best as possible.
Work will generally take place during the daytime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
