As part of the TTC’s continuing modernization efforts the turnstiles at Queen Station will be replaced with new paddle-style fare gates.

Construction is scheduled to start on Oct. 18. It will take until the end of November to complete.

The collector booth at the northbound entrance will be closed for the first phase of construction. Customers will need to purchase tickets, tokens or TTC passes from the southbound entrance.

    • From Oct. 18-19 the station will close at 11 p.m.
    • The station will be closed for the weekend Oct.20-22. It will re-open at 6 a.m. Oct. 23.
    • From Oct. 23 until the end of November the station will close at 11 p.m.
    • During the early and weekend closures subway trains will not stop at the station. Customers should use Dundas or King stations to access the subway.
    • During operating hours, customers will enter the station through a temporary station collector or through the collector booth aisle.
    • PRESTO card readers will be available during the construction.
    • Customer service representatives will be available during the construction.
