Talks Continue Between the TTC and its Unions
April 18, 2008
As the Toronto Transit Commission continues to talk with its unions today and over the weekend, TTC Chair Adam Giambrone will not comment on progress until there is news to report.
Councillor Giambrone has reiterated his full confidence in the TTC's negotiating team and his commitment to not become involved in the process.
As well, the TTC is requesting the media not to film or interview customers or employees on TTC property. While the TTC attempts to accommodate media under normal circumstances, the Toronto Transit Commission is sensitive to media presence on the system at this point in negotiations.
The TTC remains committed to achieving a fair deal for its workers and a deal that is affordable for the people of Toronto.
