TTC makes 69 Warden South accessible
October 9, 2008Starting on Sunday, October 12, the TTC’s 69 Warden South bus route will be wheelchair and scooter friendly, bringing the number of accessible bus routes to 127 (out of 167 routes).
The new route will be served by accessible low floor kneeling buses equipped with a flip-ramp. These buses can be identified by blue lights on either side of the front destination sign, and the blue international wheelchair symbol displayed above the front right bumper next to the entrance door.
All fully accessible buses include two wheelchair/scooter positions. The TTC now has more than 1,400 accessible buses in its fleet – and more are on the way. These buses are purchased with the financial assistance of the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario.
TTC customers can call 416 393-INFO (4636) or visit www.ttc.ca for more service information and for a complete accessible route listing.
