TTC conducting fire rescue exercise at Main Street Station
February 9, 2017
This Sun., Feb. 12, from 3 - 7 a.m., the TTC and Toronto Fire Services (TFS) will conduct an emergency simulation at Main Street Station involving approximately 40 firefighters and more than ten fire vehicles parked at the station.
The exercise will simulate an accident requiring rescue in the tunnel, and will involve theatrical smoke in the station and tunnel. This smoke may bellow out of the station.
Each weekend, the TTC conducts regular training exercises with TFS. This weekend’s exercise, which will be much larger in size and scope than routine weekend training, is being conducted to test new TFS procedures and equipment.
This event is not open to media.
