Broadview Station - streetcar platform modification
Starting March 7, 2020
What we are doing and why
Starting on Saturday, March 7, TTC crews will begin work to extend the streetcar platform of the inside (south) track at Broadview Station. The modification to the east end of the platform will allow for two low-floor streetcars to occupy the platform together without blocking the sidewalk on Broadview Avenue. This work is being done in advance of the March 29th return of streetcars on the 505 Dundas route.
Work during the March 7/8 weekend will focus on concrete removal in preparation for the platform extension, as well as a new walkway between the two existing streetcar track platforms.
All other work associated with this modification, such as some concrete placement, shelter relocation, railing installation, signage will be conducted during weekdays.
