Ranee Avenue Bridge (Yorkdale Station) - structural rehabilitation
September 16, 2019 to January 31, 2020
What we are doing?
As part of TTC’s State of Good Repair Program, crews will be working on localized areas of the Ranee Avenue bridge at Allen Road. Work will include repairs to multiple areas of the bridge including the base and underside of the structure, as well as the large concrete columns.
For work occurring on Allen Road, temporary concrete barriers will be installed on Allen Road to protect crews from vehicular traffic.
Some of this work will need to be completed from inside the station which will result in short-term closures of the Ranee Avenue entrances to the station. Only the north OR south entrance will be closed at any one time. Signage will be in place to direct passengers to the open entrance.
Construction noise may be audible to area residents during these periods.
Work hours and noise
The majority of work will take place between Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. For customer and workers’ safety, this project will involve some night work.
