Keele Street South of Finch Avenue West Overnight Work Begins January 13, 2012

Construction continues on Keele Street from Finch Avenue West to Toro Road on a portion of work associated with the construction of the southern tunnels. The work is necessary as part of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) project.

Beginning January 13, 2012 and continuing until March 2012 construction crews will begin working overnight and on weekends. The City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment which allows the project contractors to perform overnight and weekend work to minimize traffic disruptions and keep the project on schedule.

Work will run non-stop beginning January 13, 2012 and continue until March 2012. There will be no work on statutory holidays.
