York Boulevard Bus-Only Access Road closed Beginning June 12th - TTC and GO Transit Bus Services Diverting

June 7, 2012

The York Boulevard bus-only access road into the Harry W. Arthurs Common will be closed west of James Gillies Street from early Tuesday, June 12th and reopening Monday, July 30th at 5:00 p.m. This closure will allow for construction of a road bridge to span over the future excavation of the York University Station site. During these two months, both TTC and GO Transit buses will be temporarily diverted.

Beginning Tuesday June 12th, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Paid Duty Officers will help ensure safe pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow at the intersections of The Pond Road at Ian Macdonald Boulevard and James Gillies Street. Flag persons will be stationed at the two ends of the bus-only access road to direct buses to the diversion route. Due to the temporary bus diversion, increased traffic congestion will be experienced along this route. Transit delays may be experienced during peak times. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
