Overnight Lane Restrictions on Highway 7 on October 3rd - Jane Street to Edgeley Boulevard

October 2, 2012

Construction crews will be sealing the asphalt on Highway 7 overnight on Wednesday, October 3rd. Weather permitting, there will be lane restrictions beginning at 9:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m., from Jane Street to Edgeley Boulevard. One lane will remain open eastbound and two lanes will remain open westbound during this work. Due to the nature of the work, motorists may face traffic delays.

The scheduled rain date for this work is Thursday, October 4th.

Motorists please obey all signs and slow down through this construction zone.

Work Hours

The work will occur overnight from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The City of Vaughan has approved a noise by-law amendment which allows the contractor to perform overnight and weekend work when required to minimize long term disruption and to keep the project on schedule.

Motorists

Please use extra care when travelling on Highway 7 between Interchange Way and Jane Street. This section of Highway 7 continues to be posted at a reduced speed limit of 50 km/h.

Pedestrian Access/Walkways

Sidewalks will remain open on the north side of Highway 7 to maintain pedestrian access during this portion of construction. Please take extra care while travelling near construction.
