York University Station Box Excavation Begins

October 30, 2012

Site preparations began this October for the excavation of the York University subway station box. York University Station will be located in the heart of the York University Campus, crossing diagonally under Ian Macdonald Boulevard, with the main entrance in the Harry W. Arthurs Common.  This construction site area will remain as is.

Pedestrian Access

The walkway that was constructed in March between the York Research Tower and York Lanes remains open for pedestrians. Please follow the posted pedestrian signs.

Project Information Centre in York Lanes

A project information centre is open in York Lanes across from the York University bookstore.  Our Construction Liaison Officers are on-hand three days a week to greet visitors and share information about the project.  The York Lanes office has project information and the station models for York University and Steeles West stations.  Please visit our website here for more information on visiting hours or to book an appointment.
