Overnight Work at York University June 19 to July 1, 2013

June 14, 2013

Construction continues at York University on portions of the northern tunnels and excavation for the future York University Subway Station. Overnight construction will take place beginning Wednesday, June 19 to Monday, July 1, 2013. Permitted overnight work includes tunnel related activities and the loading and removal of dirt by trucks from the site. During the work, there will be construction related noise from trucks and equipment.  Work will take place in the Contractor Work Zone and Station Construction areas on the map below.

Work Hours

The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for major transit projects which allows contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur within the hoarded construction site at York University.

As construction continues at the York University Station Site, construction related notices will be issued.
