Activation of New Temporary Signalized Intersection Begins March 12, 2014, Steeles Avenue West East of Murray Ross Parkway (Weather Permitting)

March 10, 2014

On Wednesday, March 12, 2014, the temporary signalized intersection will begin operating at 12 p.m. on Steeles Avenue West at Northwest Gate east of Murray Ross Parkway. Traffic delays are expected as Steeles Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction to facilitate the activation of the traffic lights before 12 p.m. The new temporary signalized intersection for this neighbourhood will be used during the construction of Pioneer Village Station. This work is weather permitting and may be rescheduled.

Please be advised that the speed limit has been reduced on Steeles Avenue West between Jane Street and Keele Street to 40 kilometres an hour and will be strictly enforced by Toronto Police.
