March 19, 2014

Construction continues at York University on the station box and excavation of the area known as the “Light Scoop”. Overnight construction will take place beginning Friday, March 21, 2014 to Friday, April 11, 2014. During the 24/7 work there will be construction related noise from trucks and the operation of three small drill rigs. Work will take place in the Contractor Work Zone on the map below.

Work Hours

The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for major transit projects which allows contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur within the hoarded construction site at York University until September 2014.

As construction continues at the York University Site, construction related notices will be issued.
