Whitehorse Road Closure May 31 to June 2, 2014

May 28, 2014

On Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, 2014 a portion of Whitehorse Road, between Kodiak Crescent and Rimrock Road, will be closed to facilitate sewer and sanitary connections. There will be no access to Whitehorse Road from Kodiak Crescent. Access to local businesses will be maintained from the Rimrock Road direction.

On Monday June 2, 2014, after morning rush hour, paving will take place to restore the road. Traffic flow will be maintained in both directions using flag persons.

Construction work involves:

• Sanitary/sewer connections
• Road modifications

Work Hours

• Work will normally run between 7:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday and Sunday.
• During the work, there may be construction related noise. The City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment which allows the Project contractors to perform overnight and weekend work to minimize traffic disruptions.

Lane Restrictions

Closure of Whitehorse Road between Kodiak Crescent and Rimrock Road will be required to perform the work during the weekend and single lane restrictions and periodic lane diversions on Whitehorse Road will be required on Monday. Street parking will be restricted near the construction area. Due to the nature of the work motorists may face traffic delays.

Please obey the flag persons and take extra care while travelling near the construction.
