Early Morning Concrete Pour for Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station, November 20, 2014
November 19, 2014
On Thursday, November 20, 2014, there will be an early morning concrete pour beginning at 6:30 a.m. for the future Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Subway Station. The concrete pour will take place on the south side of the construction site off of Highway 7 (west of Jane Street) and will last approximately 8 hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There are no lane restrictions associated with the work and all work will be contained within the construction site.
During this concrete pour there will be some construction noise from construction vehicles backing up. Construction vehicles will enter and exit the site from the gate on Highway 7. Every effort will be made by the contractor to minimize construction noise.
Motorists please obey all signs and slow down through this construction zone.
Work Hours
The work will occur on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The City of Vaughan has approved a noise by-law amendment that permits the contractor to perform overnight and weekend work when required to minimize long term disruption and to keep the project on schedule.
This work is weather dependent and the rain date is scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2014.
Motorists
Please use extra care when travelling on Highway 7 between Interchange Way and Jane Street and obey the Paid Duty Police Officers.
