York Boulevard (South Side) Reopening August 31 2016, TTC and GO Bus Route Changes

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 outbound York Boulevard will reopen to bus traffic on the south side of the Common. Northbound Ian Macdonald Boulevard between Fine Arts and York Boulevard will remain closed to all vehicles with the exception of construction related traffic. Pedestrian access will be available via an accessible path adjacent to the former north/south Diversion Road (orange line on graphic). The sidewalk north of Schulich School of Business will also reopen.

Outbound bus routing from the Common will travel east on York Boulevard on Wednesday, August 31 beginning at 7 p.m., across the north side of the Seymour Schulich Building.

Traffic Impacts and Pedestrian Safety

Traffic control personnel will be on campus to facilitate the safe movement of pedestrian, transit and vehicular traffic around the construction work areas. An accessible pedestrian walkway will be available across the Common on August 31, 2016 (as shown above). The sidewalk north of Schulich School of Business will also reopen.

GO Transit Bus Stops Move September 3, 2016

All GO Transit Bus Stops will be moved back to in front of the Accolade East building on Saturday, September 3. The GO stops were temporarily relocated in front of the Accolade West Building and the Centre for Film and Theatre to enable the road works for the last month. Please look out for posted service changes for more information about the bus stop changes.

TTC Bus Stop Layover Area

TTC transit bus stops remain the same. TTC buses will have a new layover area in the curb lane of York Boulevard approaching the Common.

Construction Vehicles

Construction vehicles will access the campus via York Boulevard from Keele Street and exit via Ian Macdonald Boulevard from the construction site. Traffic control personnel will be stationed at the construction gates to safely move vehicles.
