Currently Under Construction

Utility & Watermain Works     

Utility and watermain work is underway in preparation for Finch West subway station construction. It includes replacement and installation of watermains, utilities, drainage, storm and sanitary sewers, Bell ducts, traffic signals, as well as new landscaping and pedestrian sidewalks. Work is scheduled to be completed this summer.

Relocation of Toronto Fire Hall #141
   
Toronto Fire Hall #141 is being moved from the east side of Keele St. to the west side of Keele St. The fire hall is being relocated to allow for construction of the Finch West Subway Station starting in late spring. The new Toronto Fire Hall is scheduled to open in the summer.

Murray Ross Pkwy-Tangiers Rd Detour

Murray Ross Parkway is being extended to meet the northern extension of Tangiers Road. Once completed, this will provide a detour route for the intersection of Finch & Keele to improve traffic flow during Finch West station construction. The detour is scheduled to open June 2011. The TYSSE project is an extension of the existing TTC subway system from Downsview station in the City of Toronto to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre in the Regional Municipality of York. The length of the extension is 8.6 km and includes six new subway stations. Start of service end of 2015.
