Creating an e-Alert Page

Step One

Click the Red “Add a New e-Alert” button.

Step Two – Enter Name

Assign the e-Alert a unique name. The name is mandatory.

Step Three – Specify Days of Week and Time of Day

Indicate the day(s) and timeframe you wish to receive service disruption notifications. The “Active Days of the Week” is mandatory. The “Active Time during the selected days(s)” is optional.

TIP

Rather than selecting each day separately, selecting “All week” indicates Monday through Sunday, selecting “Weekends” indicates Saturday and Sunday, and selecting “Weekdays” indicates Monday through Friday.

TIP

If you wish to receive all service disruptions regardless of time of day, select “24 hours”.

Step Four – Indicate Service Disruption Types

  • Specify the types of service disruptions you wish to receive e-Alerts for. You must specify at least one service disruption type.

  • Click the red “Next Step” button to proceed or click the white “Cancel” button to abort. Clicking the white “Cancel” button will not save any changes.

Step Five – Specify Routes or Subway /RT Lines of Interest

  • For Bus, Streetcar, and Subway Service Advisories indicate the routes or subway / RT lines you wish to receive service disruptions for. This is accomplished by placing a check mark beside each route or subway / RT line of interest.

Rather than placing a check mark beside individual routes or subway / RT lines, click the “Select All” link. Clicking the “Select All” link will place a check mark beside each route or subway line.

Rather than removing the check marks for one route or subway / RT line at a time, click the “Select None” link. Clicking the “Select None” link will remove the check mark beside each route or subway / RT line.

Clicking the “Select All Subway/RT Lines and Surface Routes” link will place a check mark beside each route or subway line regardless of category (Streetcar Routes, Subway/RT Lines, etc..)

Clicking the “Remove All Subway/RT Lines and Surface Routes” link will remove all check marks.

TIP

You can reduce the number of routes or subway / RT lines listed by specifying a filter. You can filter the list by entering a route number, a route name, or a partial search string.

For Example:

To display routes or subway / RT lines containing “queen”, enter “queen” in the “Search for Subway/RT Lines and Surface Routes with:” text box and click the red “Show” button.

Step Six – Verify e-Alert Settings

  • Confirm the e-Alert settings. Click the “Modify Settings” link to change the name, days of week, time frame, or notification types. Click the “Modify Subway/RT Lines and Surface Routes” link to change the routes or subway / RT lines you wish to receive service disruptions for.
  • Click the grey “Back” button at the bottom of the page to return to the previous screen. Click the red “Save” button to save your changes. Click the white “Cancel” button to abort. Clicking the white “Cancel” button will not save any changes.
