A meeting of the Toronto Transit Commission was held in the Anteroom of the Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, December 4, 2003 commencing at 3:40 p.m.
Present - Committee of the Whole
Brian Ashton, Bas Balkissoon, Sandra Bussin, Adam Giambrone, Peter Li Preti, Joe Mihevc, David Miller, and David Shiner (Commissioners), R. Ducharme (Chief General Manager), B. Leck (General Counsel) and F. Stanois (Coordinator - Secretariat Services) were present.
B. Leck was in the Chair.
1. Declaration of Appointed Office
The City of Toronto Council appointed B. Ashton, B. Balkissoon, S. Bussin, A. Giambrone, P. Li Preti, J. Mihevc, D. Miller, H. Moscoe and D. Shiner as members of the Toronto Transit Commission.
The General Counsel for the Toronto Transit Commission administered the Declaration of Appointed Office to the Commissioners.
The General Counsel then declared the Commission duly constituted.
2. Election of Chair and Vice-Chair
The General Counsel called for nominations for Chair.
Commissioner Miller, seconded by Commissioner Mihevc, nominated Commissioner Moscoe.
With No Further Nominations, The General Counsel Closed The Nominations And After A Unanimous Vote In Favour Of Commissioner Moscoe, Declared Him Chair Of The Toronto Transit Commission.
The General Counsel then called for nominations for Vice-Chair.
Commissioner Bussin, seconded by Commissioner Giambrone, nominated Commissioner Mihevc.
With No Further Nominations, The General Counsel Closed The Nominations And After A Unanimous Vote In Favour Of Commissioner Mihevc, Declared Him Vice-Chair Of The Toronto Transit Commission.
In absence of Chair Moscoe, Vice-Chair Mihevc assumed the Chair.
Committee of the whole resolution
Commissioner Miller moved that the Commission meet as the Committee of the Whole, immediately following the meeting.
The Motion By Commissioner Miller Carried.
The meeting adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
