Overhead Upgrades

509 Harbourfront / Queens Quay - overhead upgrades

What we are doing and why

Overhead work along Queens Quay has progressed enough to allow the TTC to restore 509 Harbourfront streetcar service from November 1 to 24, 2024. During this period, streetcars will resume operation between Union Station and Exhibition Loop, providing regular access for customers traveling along the route.

Service Adjustment Details:

Westbound: From Union Station, west along Queens Quay West, north on Bathurst Street, west on Fleet Street to Exhibition Loop.
Eastbound: From Exhibition Loop, east along Fleet Street, south on Bathurst Street, east on Queens Quay West to Union Station.

After this phase of work, the TTC will continue with overhead work on Fleet Street.

Work activities and locations

All overhead work is being conducted along the 509 Harbourfront streetcar right-of-way:

  • Overhead work on Queens Quay West from Spadina Avenue to Bathurst Street, scheduled from October 6 to November, is now complete.
  • Starting late November to January 2025, overhead upgrades will continue along the streetcar right-of-way on Fleet Street, west of Bathurst Street towards Strachan Avenue.

An update on service adjustments will be provided once available.
