Spadina Station Improvements and Modifications
The TTC’s Spadina Station, serving the community for nearly 60 years, is about to undergo a series of significant upgrades to enhance accessibility, improve customer experience, and make streetcar service more reliable.
Station Improvements
Our planned work includes:
- Installation of new elevators for Spadina Station Line 1 (Spadina Station Easier Access)
- Replacement of existing escalators at the streetcar platform (Spadina Station Escalator Replacements)
- Structural rehabilitation at Spadina Station Line 1 Kendal Avenue Entrance/Exit (Spadina Station Line 1 Kendal Avenue Entrance Structural Paving Rehabilitation)
- Upgrades to existing elevators at the streetcar platform (Spadina Station Elevator Overhaul - upcoming future project)
- Replacement of subway vents and fans on Line 1 and Line 2 (Spadina Station Line 1 and 2 Subway Ventilation Equipment Replacement - upcoming project)
More Reliable Streetcar Service
To ensure 510 Spadina streetcar provides reliable service, we are making several improvements, including:
- Overhead upgrades on Spadina Avenue between King Street and Queens Quay and from College Street to Spadina Station (Spadina Avenue Infrastructure Upgrades)
- Replacement of loop rail at the streetcar platform (Spadina Station Streetcar Loop Rail Replacement)
- Extended streetcar platform and queueing area (Spadina Station Streetcar Platform Extension - upcoming project)
