Free TTC Wi-Fi expands to Union, King, Queen and Dundas stations
The Toronto Transit Commission and BAI Canada are pleased to announce that free Wi-Fi is now available at Union, King, Queen and Dundas subway stations.
These four stations join St George, Bay, Bloor-Yonge, Wellesley, and College stations on the list of subway stations equipped with free Wi-Fi. All stations in the downtown lower loop of Line 1, plus Spadina Station, will have Wi-Fi ahead of the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games.
The free service, branded TCONNECT, is ad-based and comes at no cost to the TTC or its customers. Users can access the network by choosing “TCONNECT” on a Wi-Fi equipped device, and in the browser clicking “CONNECT” on the TCONNECT welcome page.
TCONNECT provides access to internet service, including real-time transit alerts, social media and email. The TTC and BAI Canada are expanding wireless connectivity to all subway stations in the next three years. Each station with TCONNECT Wi-Fi is cellular-capable, ready for cellular service providers to join the network.
