This Saturday evening, there will be an early closure on a portion of Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) between St George and Pape stations. Starting at 11 p.m. until noon on Sunday, there will be no subway service on that stretch of the line as the Toronto Transit Commission conducts beam and track work on the Bloor Viaduct. Replacement buses will operate along Bloor St. and Danforth Ave.
Wheel-Trans will be available for customers who require accessible transit. Customers can speak with any uniformed TTC employee to make use of this service.
Normal subway service will resume at noon on Sunday.
Also this Saturday, there will be no service on Line 3 (Scarborough) as the TTC replaces almost 700 metres of track, installs new communication cables and tests power supplies.
Replacement buses will operate between McCowan and Kennedy stations, stopping at all Line 3 stations and, upon request, at other stops along the route. Collector booths will remain open for the sale of TTC fares. Wheel-Trans will be available for customers who require accessible transit. Customers can speak with any uniformed TTC employee to make use of this service.
Regular service on Line 3 will resume on Sunday at 9 a.m.
This is the second of five scheduled Line 3 closures this year as the TTC undertakes a complete rehabilitation of the tracks and vehicles to provide a more reliable and comfortable service over the next 10 years. The line will be decommissioned following the opening of the Scarborough Subway Extension. The next Line 3 closure is scheduled for July 4-5.
