TTC track work on Line 4 this weekend

Surface routes diverting for events

This weekend, July 16-17, TTC crews will replace rail on Line 4 Sheppard between Sheppard-Yonge and Bayview stations only, requiring that portion of the subway to close. Trains will turn back at Bayview Station.  Shuttle buses will operate along the entire line from Sheppard-Yonge to Don Mills stations, stopping only at subway stations along the route.

Customers wishing to stop between stations can board an 85 Sheppard East bus, which will have increased service for the weekend.

Wheel-Trans will operate between Sheppard-Yonge and Bayview stations upon request for customers who need it. Customers can speak with any TTC staff to request the service.

Regular service resumes Mon. July 18 at 6 a.m.

The next scheduled subway closures are as follows:

  • Line 2 Bloor-Danforth - Broadview to Main Street- July 24
  • Line 2 Bloor-Danforth - St George to Broadview opening late - July 24
  • Line 1 Yonge-University - St George to Osgoode - August 6

Maintaining and modernizing transit infrastructure is critical in ensuring the TTC remains a safe and reliable transit system for its 1.8 million daily riders. The TTC thanks its customers, Toronto residents and businesses, and the public for their patience and understanding.
