Parts of TTC Line 1 to close this weekend

This weekend, Nov. 9-10, the TTC is closing two different portions of Line 1 - one each day - to enable crews to continue installation of the Automatic Train Control (ATC) signalling system.

Saturday

On Saturday only, there will be no subway service between St Clair West and King stations. Shuttles buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. Dupont Station will be closed, but all others will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. As King Station is not yet accessible, customers who require an accessible connection should use Queen Station instead.

Sunday

On Sunday only, there will be no subway service between Bloor-Yonge and Osgoode stations. Shuttles buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
