TTC ACAT Committee seeks new members
The TTC is recruiting new volunteer members for its 2022 Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT). Applications open today and will be accepted until Sept. 21, 2021.
Anyone interested in joining the committee can apply directly online at ttc.ca/acat. Applications can also be submitted by email to acat@ttc.ca, by mail to Wheel-Trans - ACAT applications c/o Customer Service, 580 Commissioners St., Toronto, ON, M4M 1A7, or by fax to 416-338-0126. All applications are due by 4 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2021.
Due to ongoing COVID-19 protocols, the TTC will not be holding in-person information sessions this year. Anyone who requires an accommodation with their application can email acat@ttc.ca. Those looking for more details about ACAT and the responsibilities of a volunteer member can visit ttc.ca/acat.
ACAT provides a mechanism for ongoing public participation in decisions affecting accessible transportation in the City of Toronto. The Committee is comprised of volunteer members and reports to the Board of the Toronto Transit Commission. The TTC strives to have ACAT members reflect the communities it serves and encourages applications from diverse communities including Indigenous, Black and other racialized applicants.
