Portion of TTC Line 1 to close early next Mon- Thurs

Mon., July 11 through Thurs., July 14, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Eglinton and Bloor-Yonge stations will end at 11 p.m. nightly for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

Summerhill Station will be closed. At St Clair Station, the St. Clair Centre automatic entrance/exit will be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers.

All other stations will remain open.

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak to any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.

Rogers network outage

The TTC is aware that due to the Rogers network outage, customers are temporarily unable to load their PRESTO cards or purchase PRESTO Tickets using debit.

Customers who need to reload their PRESTO cards or purchase PRESTO Tickets, should use station vending machines that accept cash. Credit cards may also work, depending on the financial institution.

If customers are unable to reload their PRESTO card, or purchase a PRESTO Ticket, they should speak with a Collector or customer service staff member for assistance. Customers should also note that exact cash, or tokens can be used at Collector Booths.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternate routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
