Upcoming TTC subway closures and weekend diversions
The TTC is reminding customers that the portion of Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations will be closed this Sat., June 18, and Sun., June 19 due to track work.
Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. While all stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes, some entrances/exits will be closed.
At High Park Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Parkview Gardens will be closed. At Keele Station, the Indian Grove automatic entrance/exit will be closed. At Lansdowne Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Emerson Ave. will be closed. At Dufferin Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Russett Ave. will also be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers at each subway station.
Weekend events and service impacts
Several events taking place in the city this weekend will result in adjustments to TTC service.
From Fri., June 17 to Sun., June 19, the 506/306 Carlton will be diverting to accommodate the Taste of Little Italy event.
On Sat., June 18, the 80 Queensway will be diverting from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., for the Toronto Waterfront 10K.
On Sun., June 19, between 5:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m., the 300 Bloor-Danforth will be diverting to accommodate the Yorkville Exotic Car Show.
From Fri., June 17 at 3:00 p.m. to Sat., June 18 at 11:59 p.m., the 102D Markham Road will be diverting to accommodate the Markham Village Music Festival.
A number of events and road closures at Exhibition Place will impact service on the 29/929 Dufferin throughout the summer. Customers are encouraged to visit ttc.ca for help planning their trips in that area.
Also this weekend, Queens Quay/Ferry Docks Station will be closed between midnight – 4:00 a.m. on Sun., June 19. The 509 Harbourfront and 510/310 Spadina will bypass the station during this time.
Monday – Wednesday
This Mon., June 20 to Wed., June 22, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to allow crews to continue working on the track.
TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. All stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets, or connect to surface routes; however, the same exits/entrances will be closed temporarily.
At High Park Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Parkview Gardens will be closed. At Keele Station, the Indian Grove automatic entrance/exit will be closed. At Lansdowne Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Emerson Ave. will be closed. At Dufferin Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Russett Ave. will also be closed. While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.
