Upcoming TTC subway closures and weekend service updates
This Sat., June 11 and Sun., June 12, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations due to Metrolinx construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT (ECLRT).
Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. All stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets, or connect to surface routes. In addition to the shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.
As Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, customers travelling southbound on Line 1 who require an accessible connection should exit the train at York Mills Station and see any TTC customer service employee for assistance.
Sunday
This Sun., June 12 only, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will begin by noon to accommodate beam replacement on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct.
Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.
Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets or connect to surface routes.
Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak to any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.
