TTC crews working to re-rail streetcar at King and Church

TTC crews are working to re-rail a streetcar at King St. E., and Church St. Special equipment is being used to lift the streetcar and clear the intersection, expected to be complete by 6:30 p.m.

Buses have temporarily replaced the 504 King, while the 501B Queen is diverting via Bay St., Adelaide St. E., and Church St.

The streetcar, which was not in service, derailed shortly before 1:45 p.m. today. Safety is the TTC’s top priority and all incidents related to safety are fully investigated.
