Toronto Waterfront Marathon diversions and upcoming service adjustments
Toronto Waterfront Marathon
The Toronto Waterfront Marathon will be held this Sunday, and the TTC is the fastest, most convenient, and eco-friendly way to get to and from the event safely.
Road closures over the weekend will impact several TTC surface routes. Starting at 7 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 14, the 19 Bay will divert to accommodate the closure of Bay St., between Dundas St. and Queen St. E.
On Sun., Oct. 15, the following TTC bus and streetcar routes will be diverting to accommodate the Marathon:

The TTC is working hard to ensure it has as many alternate options as possible available to its customers on Sunday. Diversion times may vary by route, and customers are encouraged to check ttc.ca and @TTCNotices for the most up-to-date service information.

Monday – Thursday service adjustments
Extra subway service Monday
This Mon., Oct. 16 only, the TTC will be operating extra morning and afternoon rush hour trains on Lines 1 and 2, to accommodate higher demand resulting from a partial closure of two GO Transit lines. GO Lakeshore East and GO Stouffville trains will not be operating to or from Union Station.
GO Lakeshore East customers can connect to the subway, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, at Main Street Station, by transferring at Danforth GO Station. GO Stouffville customers can transfer to the TTC at Kennedy Station. Transferring GO customers will need to pay a TTC fare. For more information, visit https://gotransit.com.
504 King nightly diversions Monday - Thursday
Starting Mon., Oct. 16, until Thurs., Oct. 19, 504 King streetcars will be diverting nightly between 9 p.m. – 4:30 a.m., to accommodate streetcar infrastructure maintenance. Streetcars will be turning back west at Church St. during these hours. A 504 King bus replacement service will operate both ways between Distillery Loop and Bay St.
510/310 Spadina nightly diversions Tuesday – Thursday
Starting Tues., Oct. 17, until Thurs., Oct. 19, 510/310 Spadina streetcars will be diverting nightly between 12:01 a.m. – 4 a.m., to accommodate streetcar tunnel maintenance and overhead work on Spadina Ave. 510/310 Spadina streetcars will be operating both ways between Union Station and King St., while a bus replacement service will be serving curbside stops between Spadina Station and King St.
