TTC increasing service to The Ex for CNE
Transit is the fastest, safest, and greenest way to get to and from this year’s Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), with the TTC increasing service on key routes serving Exhibition Place.
Starting Fri., Aug. 16 until Mon., Sep. 2, the TTC will be running special CNE Express buses from Bathurst and Dufferin stations. Additionally, there will be extra service on Dufferin bus routes, as well as on the 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcar routes to accommodate increased demand during the CNE.
Bus service
Service will be increased on the 29 Dufferin and 929 Dufferin Express. Dedicated CNE Express shuttle buses will also be running non-stop between Dufferin Station and Dufferin Gate Loop. Service on the 329 Dufferin Night will be adjusted during the CNE, with its last stop at Dufferin Gate Loop, a short walk from The Ex.
For those traveling from Bathurst Station, frequent CNE Express shuttle buses will be available to run non-stop between the station and Exhibition Loop.
Streetcar service
Streetcar service will be increased on the 509 Harbourfront, running between Union Station and Exhibition Loop. Extra service will also run on the 511 Bathurst, between Bathurst Station and Exhibition Loop.
With the added bus options to Dufferin Gate during CNE, service on the 501A Queen will be adjusted between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. daily. Streetcars will continue along Queen St. W., running in both directions to Sunnyside Loop during these hours.
Free rides on Warriors’ Day for military personnel and veterans
On Sat., Aug. 17, the TTC is proud to offer free transit to active members of the Canadian military and veterans, along with one companion, to commemorate the 2024 CNE Warriors’ Day Parade. Canadian military members, veterans and peacekeepers will be asked to show their service medals/ribbons to receive free TTC service.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service, as well as alternate route options. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on X or sign up for eAlerts.
