Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments
This Sat., Dec. 7, and Sun., Dec. 8, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair West and King stations. The full weekend closure will enable TTC crews to conduct track-level work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Extra Wheel-Trans buses will operate between St Clair West and Queen stations for any customer requiring assistance. On the Yonge side of Line 1, customers who need an elevator should exit the train at Queen Station and speak with a TTC staff member for assistance.
Several subway stations will be closed to accommodate maintenance and upgrades. There will be no access to Dupont, Museum, Queens Park, St Patrick, and Osgoode stations during these hours. At Spadina Station, the Kendal Ave. entrance will also be closed. All other subway stations and entrances will be open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.
Monday to Friday – Early nightly subway closures between St Clair and Sheppard-Yonge Stations
Mon., Dec. 9 through Fri., Dec. 13, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Extra Wheel-Trans buses will operate between St Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations for any customer requiring assistance.
Lawrence Station will be closed. All other subway stations will be open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
